- California Sells Items Seized at Airports on eBay
California is selling items seized by airport security employees in order to raise funds for a recently launched state program.
The California Department of General Services is selling the items, seized from passengers at airports in Oakland and Sacramento, on the web site of Internet auction company eBay Inc.
California has raised more than USD16,000 since November 2002 by auctioning the items, which are too numerous to return to their owners.
Plans are also under way to start selling items seized from passengers at airports in Los Angeles, Orange County and Ontario, California.
Actually... I don't think it's that bad of an idea.......
